ABOUT THE MEETING: Spaces to BE – SIG (Special Interest Group)

Hosted by the DEIB Committee

ICFTN is excited to host the first Spaces to BE Special Interest Group (SIG) as part of April’s “Celebrate Diversity Month”. This unique opportunity provides a safe and welcoming space for professional coaches in the ICFTN Chapter to connect, contribute, and expand their knowledge of DEIB-related topics. Join us on Monday, April 24th, to be part of an interactive and engaging session that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Register today to secure your spot and be part of this community dedicated to promoting a more inclusive coaching environment.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Develop a deeper understanding of the importance of creating safe and inclusive coaching environments that promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).

  2. Engage in open and respectful conversations with colleagues about DEIB-related topics, including the challenges and opportunities that arise when working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  3. Explore the unique perspectives and experiences of other professional coaches in the ICFTN Chapter regarding DEIB-related topics that are brought to the session by attendees (and may vary by session) while gaining valuable insights into how different coaching practices approach these issues.

Benefits to the Audience:

  1. Connect with ICFTN coaches: Attendees will have the opportunity to build relationships with other professional coaches in the ICFTN Chapter who share their interest in DEIB. This can help them expand their network and foster a sense of community within the coaching industry.

  2. Expand your knowledge and understanding: By attending this program, attendees can gain valuable insights and perspectives from their colleagues on DEIB-related topics. This can help them stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the field, and enhance their overall understanding of DEIB.

  3. Contribute to the conversation: Attendees will have the chance to share their own experiences, insights, and perspectives on DEIB-related topics. This can help promote a more inclusive and diverse conversation, and allow attendees to make meaningful contributions to the ongoing dialogue around DEIB.
