ABOUT THE ICFTN SPACES TO BE: Unlocking the Power of Cultural Identity through Cultural Mapping

We are excited to announce our next Spaces to BE session sponsored by the DEIB committee. This session promises to be a transformative journey of self-discovery and cultural exploration.In today's interconnected world, understanding our own cultural identity and appreciating the rich tapestry of diverse cultures around us is more important than ever. Our "Spaces to BE" workshop provides a safe and inclusive space for participants to delve deep into their cultural backgrounds, values, and experiences. Through interactive exercises and small group discussions, you'll embark on a journey of self-discovery and empathy.

Please bring paper and a writing utensil to the session. You'll use this to create your own cultural map.

  • Deep Self-Reflection: Discover the various facets of your own cultural identity and gain valuable insights into your heritage and beliefs.

  • Empathy and Understanding: Learn to appreciate diverse perspectives and enhance your ability to engage in meaningful intercultural dialogues.

  • Interactive Experience: This isn't a passive lecture; it's an interactive experience. You'll actively map your cultural identity and share your experiences, all at your own comfort level, in small group discussions.
