ABOUT THE CHAPTER MEETING: Amplifying Your Coaching Impact Through Arts-Based Experiential Learning
Buckle up! This virtual program will engage participants directly in arts-based experiential learning experience and provide groundbreaking insights into the theory and science behind arts-based experiential learning (ABEL) as a coaching methodology. We will examine an actual use case as a way to demonstrate the what, how and outcomes of selective coaching relationships.
Participants will also learn about an innovative assessment instrument that directly and objectively measures leadership and innovation skills in four foundational areas: Readiness to Learn, Cognitive Agility, Collaboration, Activating Innovation. Participants will learn how this instrument has been successfully used as a learning development platform with easily implemented exercises.
Learning Objectives:

An understanding of the theory and science behind Arts-Based Experiential Learning (ABEL).

Practical examples of arts-based experiential exercises immediately implementable by participants.

Introduction to a breakthrough method for measuring impact of training on learners.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Fred Mandell, PhD
Fred Mandell, PhD, is an award-winning senior executive turned leadership provocateur, visual artist, writer and social entrepreneur. He has developed emotionally resonant ways to teach individual and team skills, techniques and processes which accelerate innovation through arts-based learning. His series The Leader as Artist was the #1 rated course at MIT’s Sloan School Innovation Period Program. His bronze “Self-Portrait” sculpture was commissioned by the International Conference on The Self co-sponsored by the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Chicago. Fred’s award winning Becoming a Life Change Artist; 7 Skills to Reinvent Your Life at Any Age, co-authored with Dr. Kathleen Jordan, has been a coaching staple for a decade.
Earn 1.25 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units at this event. 1.25 CCE units will be 1.00 Core Competency and 0.25 CCE unit will be Resource Development
