ABOUT THE LUNCHEON: GETTING COMFORTABLE WITH SHARING IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS AT WORK AND IN LIFE | NOVEMBER 10, 2017 11:30AM-1:00PM

with Mark D. Cannon

Though it has long been known that feedback is important for growth and development, feedback generally continues to be difficult to give and receive. This session combines the best of what we know about feedback from research with the most innovative and valuable practices for feedback giving and receiving in coaching and in management.  We will focus on applications in direct communication and managing progress and accountability.  In particular, you will grow your ability to:

  • Identify blind spots in how you practice direct communication and managing progress and accountability

  • Use direct communication in a way that maximizes learning and minimizes defensiveness

  • Understand assets and liabilities of the brain in formulating and responding to feedback

  • Implement best practices for accountability teams

  • Establish and practice ongoing development in feedback giving
